CANCELLED!!!! Silent Concert: Piano and Solar Eclipse at Parque de la Providencia

The Gijón International Piano Festival joins the celebration of one of the most anticipated natural events with a unique proposal: a Silent Concert in the open air at Parque de la Providencia, one of the city’s most spectacular locations from which to witness the solar eclipse.

For two hours, music and nature will enter into dialogue through a sensory experience in which audiences can enjoy this extraordinary phenomenon accompanied by the sound of the piano. 500 headphones will be distributed among attendees, creating an intimate and immersive atmosphere where every note will accompany the transformation of the landscape and the changing light of the sky during the eclipse.

Several participants of the Gijón International Piano Festival will be the protagonists of this special evening, performing a carefully curated programme featuring works by Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Frédéric Chopin, among other composers whose music particularly evokes the poetry of colour, nature, and the most intimate expressions of the piano.
